If someone would have told me I would grow to become a designer, I would have laughed in their face. I have always fancied myself a creative but growing up I was determined to become a lawyer. I was going to be the female Jack McCoy (Law and Order) by any means necessary, although I think down deep I knew that wasn’t what I really wanted to do with my life. When I was in high school, I took apparel and learned the basics of sewing and reading patterns and after I finished that class, it would be years before I sat in front of a sewing machine again. To say that there was some profound thing that sparked the love of creating back into me would be a lie. I just live my life by the mantra, “If it feels good do it”, and right now in my life, this is what feels good.
